Special needs estate planning introduces additional complexity, including the need to plan for ongoing caregiving after members of parents’ generation have passed. This role is often left siblings. (Brandy, Burke, Landon, Oertle, 2018). The sibling relationship has not been well-studied in this context, and dynamic become more complex as families changed recent years (Sanner & Jensen, 2021). overall goal paper discuss alternatives structuring caretaking (e.g., conservatorship, guardianship, supported decision-making) that may restore triad relationship, i.e., strongest identified Family Systems Theory through which stress or friction be resolved (Gale Muruthi, 2017), how these conversations with clients they make guardianship plans.
